A lot of our youth today. lack the affection and prominent male figures in their lives, so I felt compelled to address the importance of this. I've always dreamed of writing a story inspired by conversations I wish I could've had with my father. Growing up as a child, my father passed away unexpectedly when I was 10 years old. During my adolescent years, I was fortunate to have a great support system. but the words of my father that I could remember meant so much more and inspired me to be great.
There's no doubt I wanted to grow up with a father that most didn't have, but the moments I did have were beyond measurable. As a young child, my father consistently let me know how proud he was of me and that he loved me and my older brother unconditionally. As I reflected over the years, what advice would my dad have given me in every stage expressed in manhood. In my book. these father and son relationships messages will shed light on how vital fatherly relationships are necessary in our children's lives.
It's imperative to develop, inspire, and encourage our young kings on the importance of family. community. and faith. The goal is to have our young black boys and girls to grow up to be respectable and responsible young leaders and not just a product of a broken society. It's our job as parents to encourage our kids each and every day. aspire for excellence, and follow their dreams with hopes of one day they will to become a KING/QUEEN of many to come.
